Water

I give thanks for flowing waters 

for the movement of rivers and streams
waves of great oceans and seas
reflect rhythm, an ebb and flow

I give thanks for clean water
that miraculously appears in my home 
to clean and hydrate and cook and garden
and carry away waste 

I give thanks for this bringer of life
humbly offering itself to any that receive
with great fluidity 
moving on the path of least resistance
and sometimes carving a new way
